Tree planting!! 木を植えよう♪

I took part in tree planting volunteer event today.
I was surprised that there are many volunteer activities for last two months since I came into this country.
I know that many other countries and volunteer institutions support them.

I think that appealing this kind of volunteer activities is very important between developing and developed countries.
I hope that small actions will draw public attention, and will change to a big movement, and make their life better.
 
We gathered near lake anosy in the Tana city at 7:15. But we left here for suburb after 8am, and got a heavy traffic jam.

マダガスカルは開発途上国なので、多くの国やボランティア機関から支援を受けています。そのため、ボランティアイベントが多いのが現状です。これは支援国と被支援国両国にとって活動をアピールすることと、関心を高めるためにとても重要なことだと思います。

今日は植林です！
コミュニケーション省の主催で多くの国際機関やボランティア機関も共催しています。
ですが、平日ということもあって外国人の参加者はJICAのボランティア隊員２人のみでした。ちょっと寂しいですね～

今年２月（夏が雨季)に国内の多くの場所で大雨による被害が多かったそうで、その予防としての植林だと聞きました。

どのイベントもそうですがマダガスカルの朝は早いです！
ということで、今日も朝７時１５分集合！！
ですが、みんなが集まったのは８時過ぎで出発も遅くなり、郊外に出るために渋滞に捕まりました。
もう大分、遅れることに気持ち的に慣れてきました。笑

We went to Imerintsiatosika.
And I took a picture about tank which doesn't have Caterpillar. Some Malagasies enjoy playing cards, dominoes or other games there.

植林をしに行った場所は、イメリンチィアトシカという村です。
そのすぐ近くには軍の施設があるのかキャタピラー無しの戦車を発見！！
その隣でマダガスカル人はトランプ、ドミノもしくは他の娯楽を楽しんでいました。

It was funny that the cars go on an unpaved road, meanwhile the rice is on the paved one to dry.

さすがお米の国です。
おいしそうなお米がアスファルト道路に広がり、その横のデコボコ道を車が走ります。

We started planting trees after listening how to do it.

簡単な説明の後に、植林開始です！

We planted 530 saplings today!!!

みんなで５３０本の苗木を植えました！

I could buy the sweet potatos on our way back to Tana city.
That was good for my dinner.

帰り道に、もぎ立てのサツマイモを買いました。
夕食で頂いておいしかった～
